PAYMENT:
As we continue improving our booking system and operations, we are optimising our payment structure. Therefore, the ratio between online deposits and remaining hiking fees varies.
JULY AND AUGUST -> $96
Online deposit paid while making the reservation: $26
Remaining cash balance on the day of the hike: Q550 (~$70)
SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER -> $96
Online deposit paid while making the reservation: $44
Remaining cash balance on the day of the hike: Q400 (~$52)
NOVEMBER AND ONWARDS -> $102
Online deposit paid while making the reservation: $50
Remaining cash balance on the day of the hike: Q400 (~$52)
Please note: If you prefer to pay the remaining balance in cash using U.S. dollars (USD), you may do so. However, a small additional fee will apply, as we incur a bank exchange fee when converting U.S. dollars to Guatemalan quetzales.
BEDS:
We offer 12 single beds and 4 double beds for those looking to share a bed with their friend or partner.
REFUND POLICY:
The deposit is 100% refundable if requested more than 48 hours before the start of the hike. 48 hours before the start of the hike, the deposit becomes nonrefundable.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR HIKES FROM SEPTEMBER ONWARDS:
As part of an update to our booking system, the payment structure for hikes taking place from September onwards has changed.
NOTE: While we complete this system update, some sections of our website may temporarily display the deposit amounts for hikes in previous months, as well as a remaining cash balance of Q550. The correct remaining balance for your hike, based on the month of your reservation, is shown above.
START LOCATION / BREAKFAST:
6:45 AM: Doors Open
7:00 AM: Breakfast is served
7:30 AM: Departure to the volcano
8:30 AM: Briefing & gearing up at our supply center
*We have lockers and a storage area at the supply center you can use while you hike (free)!
