Acatenango Overnight Hike Camp 2

Every cabin in camp 2, has 2 double beds (so a maximum of 4 hikers in each cabin). Want a private cabin? Empty beds in camp 2 can be bought by purchasing them by paying the extra deposit per empty bed.
Single bed/hiker -> Only available in Camp 1.
PAYMENT:
A deposit per person will have to be paid on the website to complete your reservation. The remaining balance has to be paid in cash in the local currency the day off the hike (find amounts bellow). Please note: If you prefer to pay the remaining balance in cash using U.S. dollars (USD), you may do so. However, a small additional fee will apply, as we incur a bank exchange fee when converting U.S. dollars to Guatemalan quetzales.
The deposit is 100% refundable, if a cancellation or change of dates is requested more than 48 hours before the start of the hike. If you send your cancellation or change of dates request falls within 48 hours before the start of the hike, the deposit becomes nonrefundable as stated in our policies.
PRICING (FOR SEMI-PRIVATE):
As we continue improving our booking system and operations, we are optimising our payment structure. Therefore the ratio between online deposit and remaining hiking fees varies depending on your hiking month.
JULY AND AUGUST -> $106 pp in semi-private:
Online deposit paid while making the reservation: $72 (2 x $36)
Remaining cash balance on the day of the hike: Q550 (~$70)
SEPTEMBER AND OCOTBER -> $106 pp in semi-private:
Online deposit paid while making the reservation: $108 (2 x $54)
Remaining cash balance on the day of the hike: Q400 (~$52)
NOVEMBER AND ONWARDS -> $114 pp in semi-private:
Online deposit paid while making the reservation: $110 (2x $55)
Remaining cash balance on the day of the hike: Q450 (~$59)
MORE INFO ON PRICING AND BEDS:
Semi-private for 2 friends or a couple:
2 x deposit + 2 x remaining hiking fee the morning of the hike→ Book 1 Double bed for 2 hikers. The cabin will be shared with 2 other people staying in the other double bed.
Private cabin for 2:
4 x deposit + 2 x remaining hiking fee the morning of the hike→ Book 1 Private cabin for 2 hikers.
Private cabin for 3:
4 x deposit + 3 x remaining hiking fee the morning of the hike→ Book 1 Private cabin for 3 hikers.
Private cabin for 4:
4 x deposit + 4 x remaining hiking fee the morning of the hike→ Book 2 times “1 Double bed for 2 hikers”, this makes you book 2 double beds for 4 hikers (1 full cabin for 4).
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR HIKES FROM SEPTEMBER ONWARDS:
As part of an update to our booking system, the payment structure for hikes taking place from September onwards has changed.
NOTE: With these changes, while we complete this system update, some sections of our website may temporarily display deposit amounts for hikes in previous months, as well as a remaining cash balance of Q550. The correct remaining balance for your hike, based on the month of your reservation, is shown above.
START LOCATION / BREAKFAST:
6:45 AM: Doors Open
7:00 AM: Breakfast is served
7:30 AM: Departure to the volcano
8:30 AM: Briefing & gearing up at our supply center
*We have lockers and a storage area at the supply center you can use while you hike (free)!
